The garden.

March 28 86/365

Sadie's first official Bluebonnet portrait.

March 27 85/365

I went to the Dallas Blooms flower show at the Arboretum with my best friend. It was a picture-taking extravaganza! This was the first picture I took and it is probably the best, as far as photographic quality goes.

March 26 84/365

Downtown Austin, Texas, in the rain.
I lived here for 5 years and I still consider it to be my hometown, to some extent.

March 24 82/365

I had coffee with a friend of mine today.
He has this lovely adornment on the dashboard of his car.
Gotta get me some bobble-head Jesus!

March 23 81/365

"Take me home, country road..."
Too bad I don't actually live down this road.

March 22 80/365

YAAAWWWWWWNNNNNNN!

March 21 79/365

Because Jesus is someone you want to take styling advice from...

Part of a wire sculpture created by a student.

March 18 76/365

Our school librarian dug out some old film--this is Jiminy Cricket in the fire-safety film we all saw in elementary school in the 70s.

March 17 75/365

Something green for St. Patrick's Day--a bean seedling that will soon be transplanted to the garden.

March 16 74/365

Cute. It's nice that someone enjoys their job.

March 15 73/365

My first ever attempt at making my own sushi rolls. Not too shabby!

...and keeps coming...
(from my classroom window)

March 12 70/365

And the rain keeps coming....

March 11 69/365

Day 1 of what is predicted to be four days of rain. We desperately need it. It's an 18-month drought, so far. Even this 1/2" is welcome.

March 10 68/365

The Victory Garden!
Or, the site of what will be the garden, in a couple of months. Hopefully. It's not big--only about 7' x 7', but I have plans for veggies (tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, radishes, carrots, onions, and green beans) and herbs (basil, thyme, basil, lavender, basil and oregano).

March 9 67/365

This is the slab where the hot tub is going to go. Now that we've spent a few hundred dollars and installed something permanent, I guess we're committed. We're supposed to pick it up the week of Spring Break, and in the meantime, Jeff has been working on the necessary plumbing and electric.

March 5 63/365

Spring is springing!

Outside the public library

March 3 61/365

The price of progress. This is the construction to widen TX 46. They are just getting started. No telling how long it will take.

We intentionally did NOT move out here because we didn't want to deal with the traffic. Now, wouldn't you know, both kids have friends who live out there, and I find myself driving it as often as if we lived there.

March 2 60/365

Jeff and Garrett clearing the spot where the hot tub pad will be poured later this week.

March 1 59/365

Hello, cute new friend!

February 28 58/365

Good bye, old friend! We were together for 7 years and 56K miles, but now it's time for me to move on.
